Perfect Guide

Kaptaan – The Movie or Kaptaan – The Making of A Legend  is an upcoming Lollywood film. It’s a biographical film about the life of Pakistani politician, social worker and former cricketer Imran Khan. The title is Urdu for ‘Captain’ indicating his captaincy of the Pakistan cricket team which led them to victory in the 1992 cricket world cup.

It was supposed to be released in feb, but someone told me that the director of the movie and also fan of Imran khan, hold the release to add some more timeline into the movie of IK’s successful jalsas. The guy wants to release it near Elections as this movie may help in sharply increase the popularity of IK as IK is like a legend in this movie.

I  have found movie trailer and like to share this with others.

The movie would have answer of many untold questions, and i think it will clarify many conflicts that are flying as rumors from my party opponent friends. I have some special request for my friends too that please watch carefully there might be some points that you want to wash them out from your brains.

Basic HTML code

This page is a very simple basic webpage tutorial to show ‘how a web page works’ i.e. ‘how to create a ‘first’ basic simple HTML page’.

You have to open a notepad or some text editor and start typing the following code

<title> Basic HTML Code</title>
<body bgcolor="red" text="blue">
<h1>This is Heading 1</h1>
<p> This leads to paragraph </p>
<a href=""> This is hyperlink to </a>

You have observed that each starting tag has an ending tag (But in advance tag it is not condition).
Save this file as “abc.html”
Open this file in your Browser(IE,Google Chrome, Firefox). You will have some magical output.:)

  1. Most HTML tags require an ‘starting’ and ‘ending’
  2. A web page requires an opening and closing HTML tag i.e. <html> .. web page here.. </html>
  3. The top section of the web page requires a ‘head’ section i.e. <head> … </head>
  4. Inside the ‘head’ you can place a title (The name you see when you add the site to your favorites / bookmarks) i.e. <head> <title> ..Text of Title as Computer ..</title></head>
  5. After closing the <head>, the next section is the <body> The body is inside the <html> and </html> but it’s after the <head> … </head> section.

Compatibility of PHP

PHP can be used on all major operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Mac And probably RISC) also with many others because this is cross platform open source programming language.

PHP is also many web servers like APACHE and many others like WAMP. People works as either module or CGI processor.

Above paragraph told me that using PHP, I have the freedom of selecting operating system and a web server. I have also the choice of using programming method. I can use procedural programming, Object oriented programming or mixture of both.[More..]

Best of luck for semester 4th to my class fellows. Lets see what happens at the final steps of our session.

In this seminar have discussed the basic of web applications, web development, web designing and web engineering layers and design issues.

This was quite informatics for all of my friends who attended this and pay their concentrations to me. The most amazing part of this seminar was the place and the audience who were raising questions of many  aspects and they made me strong through their questions and feedback.

Thanks to my course instructor  who allows me to use the place and acknowledge my audience. The great thing was the shield and the certificate with prosperity and honor.all the slides in “.ppt” format are available . just click the following link and download them easily.

A question is often asked from many of the php developers that “I am trying to send my value to databases through radio buttons but it does not work, what is the reason behind this?”

The best solution for them is that those friends facing this problem will have to follow some simple steps and easy to modify. I am gonna provide these steps, read them carefully and follow them they will help you much

  1. According to the rules and regulations of W3C, give specific name and id to each field e.g.                                                                                                      <input  type=”radio” name = “gender” id = “gender” />
  2. Now if you want to use one selection in one time then you have to use the same name for all radio buttons.
  3. The third and important step is that you have to assign a specific value to your button that you wish to save in your database through php page.
  4. Whatever the value is assigned to it will be saved into the databases.

 I’m gonna satisfy you with an example like I want to use radio buttons for gender (Male, Female). I ‘ll use two radio buttons one for male and one for female.

1-             <input type = “radio” name= “gender” id = “gender” />

2-      <input type = “radio” name= “gender” id = “gender” />

Now I will assign values to each of them. This is the most important point to note.

1-            MALE:<input type = “radio” name= “gender” id = “gender” value = “male” />

2-           Female: <input type = “radio” name= “gender” id = “gender”  value=”female”/>

Save the file with “.php” extension and enjoy

When one will hit the submit button it will properly send the value to the database whatever was selected.

I am going to give you a simple prescription to connect your PHP page with your database server.

Just follow  steps and make it easier for you:)

$db = mysql_connect('YOUR_DB_ADDRESS','YOUR_DB_USER','YOUR_DB_PASS') or die("Database error");
mysql_select_db('YOUR_DB', $db);

  • Create a new php file with “.php” extension
  • Define variables for “server”,”user_name”,”password”,”database”($servername,$username,$password,$database).

$servername     =             “localhost”;

$username         =             “root”;

$password          =             “vertrigo”; //as my password is VERTRIGO

$database           =             “dbform”;

  • Define a variable of link($link) using built-in function in php

$link       =             mysql_connect( $servername, $username, $password);

  • The next step is to select database, the following code represent you to how to select database

Complete Code of Connection
